From the archive: Selmer Mark VI

Professional soprano saxophone, built by Selmer in Paris. It was built early 1969, within the most desirable Mark VI serial number range. Not that many sopranos were built by Selmer during this period : these saxophones got more popular a couple of years later and most Mark VI sopranos were built after 1970. Its hard to find a silver plated Selmer Mark VI soprano below serial 165xx these days.. Tons of information available on the internet. These early ones have no high F sharp key.Condition : The sax was overhauled by its previous owner a couple of years ago, and is in top-condition! Of course it shows some wear from normal use, but nothing serious. It has some silver wear on the touch points, some minor dings and pings and some scratches, but no dents or repairs. Body is straight. The strap ring hook was re-installed some time and is bare brass.Warranty : as-is condition : no warranty.Level : professional.Body : silver plated.Condition : very good, with light wear and tear.Visual : minor dings / scratches / lacquer wear.Repairs : none. Ring strap hook was re-installed.Engraving : sharp Selmer logo.Keywork : silver plated.Condition : very good, with normal wear and tear.Pads : very good, almost new.Case : Replacement case (?)Case condition : very good . No damage, fully functional.History : This soprano was used in a high-level Dutch orchestra for many years.Remarks : Including used Selmer mouthpiece, with silver plated ligature and cap.
