From the archive: (Used) Selmer Mark VI 94*** Tenor Sax
Gorgeous sounding five digit tenor from 1961 in a dark honey non-original lacquer and silver plated keys. There is no loss of detail in the British engraving on the bell, and only a small amount on the bow.The instrument has a relatively new set of pads but has also been mechanically refitted and fully serviced by us so is in fantastic playing conditionThere are various small dings and undulations which can be expected from 6 decades of use, along with a small amount of lacquer loss, but nothing that is either unsightly or cause for structural concern. The neck, despite a couple of dings is not pulled down and maintains it's original round bore. The sounds is nothing short of fantastic, it has a colorful homogenous tone that displays all the tonal characteristics that make these older VI tenors so desirable. Maybe it's just because it's set up exactly the way I like it, but this horn is a genuine pleasure to run your fingers up and down.
