Buffet concentrated their production on clarinets mainly, and not that many saxophones were build. They are all of high quality, tune very well and play very comfortable. Keywork is only a bit different compared to a Selmer sax, but very smooth and easy to play. Its a perfect all round horn and way cheaper than a MK6. The Buffet SDA has a range to high F.This one is the silver plated version, built in 1972.Condition : The sax had a full maintenance check in May 2021: body and keywork cleaned, silver polished, rods checked and cleaned, tone holes checked, pads cleaned, new oil, new cork where required, adjustment and fine-tuning. The body is completely straight. Neck is without pulldown or dents. The sax looks almost like new and plays like a dream.
