From the archive: Conn Transitional

The Conn Transitional saxophones signify a "transition" from the New Wonder to the 4/6/10/12/14M Artist ("Naked Lady") series. This Transitional alto saxophone is therefore the predecessor of the Conn 6M. Typical of the Conn Transitional is the major improvement of the application over the previous New Wonder models: an advance in the placement of the bell valves from "split bell" to the placement of the low B and B flat valves both to the left of the cup. You can also see small changes with other valves, such as with the left palm keys. In addition, this Conn Transitional has a beautiful art-deco engraving on the cup. In terms of construction, sound and finish: a super sax! - Conn Transitional - Year of construction: 1930 - Serial number: M244196 - Finish: Silver Plated - Micro tuner - "Rolled tone holes" (rounded tone edges) All second-hand instruments are professionally checked before sale and, if necessary, completely overhauled in our own workshop. Checking saxophones means that the keys are adjusted, the shafts oiled, the pads cleaned and that the instrument is played all the way through. In case of overhaul, the saxophone is completely disassembled and rebuilt, with new pads and corks. That is why we offer a standard 1 year warranty and 1 year free service and maintenance on our used saxophones, just like on our new saxophones. With an occasion saxophone from Van Gorp you know for sure that you are in the right place! Of course, our occasion saxophones can be tested in our store without obligation. Our employees are happy to give you expert advice when selecting an instrument.
