From the archive: Conn Transitional

1932 This is one of the very last Conn Transitional altos with the Art Deco engraving on the cup and the rotating right thumb rest, a super handy thing. A few serial numbers later, Conn began work on the later famous LadyFace engraving and the fixed thumb rest. It has been freshly overhauled: all slack has been removed and it runs and sounds like new. The mechanics are more advanced than its predecessor, the Chu Berry, and the low B and B flat have already been moved to one side. The sound characteristics are still the same as the Chu Berry: full, open and with an almost limitless volume: a wonderful sound.
