From the archive: Conn Usa

1963 This is a Conn USA (nickname Shooting Star because of the shooting stars in the engraving) from 1963. These models are still made in the USA, from 1970 they come from Mexico, recognizable by the large serial numbers. Stay away, too much has been sacrificed on quality. These Conns are built for eternity, truly indestructible. Like its peers, this Conn has a nice full and warm sound. That helps a lot with developing a good sound when you start playing. If you're looking for a sharp funky sound: that's possible, but you really have to put in the effort. In terms of intonation, these instruments are very easy. This instrument has been freshly overhauled, the mechanism is in top condition and the appearance is still very beautiful for its age. Can last another 50 years.
