Conn 26M VIII ´Connqueror´

This is the famous Conn 26M VIII 'Connquerer' alto sax. In remarkably good and original condition. Original lacquer is in very good condition, with a fantastic engraving. These are very free blowing horns! Lots of power, fast ergonomic keywork and a full sound. The VIII model is the best of the best and can withstand all tests with any saxophone. Highly sought after and still played by professional players these days..... Not that many were made. This one can be dated to early 1937 and is one of the first 26M VIII model horns.Condition : Overhauled by previous owner. This horn is in very good condition, without damage. No dents, no repairs, only a couple of minor dings. The rolled tone holes are in original condition. The (original) neck has no VIII mark and fits perfectly. Micro tuner is fully functional. Only minor lacquer wear on body. The silver plated keywork is in good condition, with normal wear. The alternative G# key is missing. Sharp engraving, both on the bell and at the serial number area.
